Welcome drink

Duration: 19:00–22:00 (3 hours)
Location: conference venue – Faculty of Environmental Sciences

The opening ceremony will be held in the conference venue, inside or outside depending on the weather. The welcome cocktail and light buffet will be served there. You will have a chance to make friends and or chat with fellows. It is included in the registration fee for all conference attendants.

Conference dinner – Evening Cruise on Vltava River

Date: Wednesday, 12 July 2023
Duration: 18:50–23:00 (4 hours)

The dinner will be arranged on a plesure boat on the Vltava River directly in the Prague centre with great views on the Prague Castly, Charles Bridge, and other Prague gems. You will receive a welcome aperitif, while a hot and cold buffet with a wide choice of dishes will be available. After the dinner, a rock-n-roll band will help with the atmosphere for a small party. The dinner is not included in the conference fee, it will be available during registration for 75 EUR.

Meeting and return point

Na Františku embankment, pier no. 15, Prague 1 (opposite the St. Agnes Convent) Meeting point is at 18:35. Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes in advance. The boat departs at 18:50 and there will be no waiting for latecomers. Transfer to the dinner and to the hotel is not provided.

It will be possible to disembark from the boat at 22:30 when it returns to the pier. The boat and catering will be available for another our.

The evening will accompany a jazzrock‘n‘roll band Kronos Combo.

How to reach the Conference dinner

From the conference venue, take bus number 107 or 147 (direction “Dejvická”) to the stop “Dejvická” and there change to subway (metro A - green line) direction “Skalka“ to the stop “Staroměstská”. Then walk (altogether for ~12 minutes) down the street „17. listopadu“ past the Rudolfinum building, turn left at the InterContinental Hotel at the end of the street and then follow the riverside to the right and and you will see the boat “EUROPE”. The journey takes about 45-50 minutes.

There are numerous buses leaving from the "Zemědělská univerzita" stop to "Dejvická": 17:00, 17:06, 17:08, 17:15, 17:21, 17:23, 17:25, 17:30, 17:36, 17:38, 17:45, 17:51 (which is already not recommended, although still manageable if no dealys on the go).
